
Quantity Surveyor
The Role:
Review tender documents, drawings, specifications and evaluate, cost and submit tenders. Negotiate contract price and programme. Perform materials take offs and obtain quotes for materials from suppliers. Perform and implement post contract duties including measurements, final accounts and retention release. Liaise with engineers, architects, clients and in-house drawing office. Work with the project team to ensure that measurements, variations and contractual matters are properly recorded and notified. Prepare monthly payment applications and agree same with client. Manage, control and evaluate subcontractor works, variations, invoices and ensure that contractual obligations are satisfied. Liaise with production and site installation staff to ensure adherence to programme. Attend meetings with the client, site managers, architects and engineers. Prepare and submit hand over files.
Qualification & Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of quantity surveying experience. Knowledge of structural steel drawing software a distinct advantage. Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and CE marking standards an advantage. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, as well as strong interpersonal skills. A good understanding of contractual law. Excellent IT skills.
